ABOUT.
My Passion for Sport and Exercise started at a young age. I played Rugby League from the age of 4 until I turned 17 and spent time playing Rugby Union, Gridiron, Touch Football, Oz Tag and Hockey. As the physical demands of playing both Rugby League and Union started to impact my performance, I joined my first gym at 16.
Unfortunately, this was the catalyst for my journey with Muscle Dysmorphic Disorder (MDD). The more I lifted and improved, the stricter I became and the more controlling over my food and lifestyle. I became severely underweight and had no choice but to take time off Rugby to focus on my physical and mental health.
My passion for Nutrition, Mental Performance and Mindset Strategies was born here. I gained over 30 kilograms in a 6 month period, I was able to get my life back through the Power of the Mind and Healthful Nutrition. I knew, from my own transformation experience, that this is what I wanted to dedicate my life to, to help other people find Mental and Physical Health and Freedom.
Immediately following High School, I completed my Personal Training and Strength and Conditioning Certifications and started a Bootcamp, before earning my Certification in Nutrition. Over time, I noticed that one major piece was still missing and it wasn't until I broke my back in 2017 that I found it. I was forced to adapt my approach to training, I incorporated Mindfulness and Breathwork strategies, as well as hot and cold exposure into my daily routine.
Travelling to Tampa, Florida, I completed Muscle Intelligence Certification, so that I could learn to challenge the muscular system without creating unnecessary stress and inflammation. I was introduced to Brian Cain from Peak Performance USA, a Sport's Psychologist who was in the process of creating the Mental Performance Mastery (MPM) Program. Completing this program resulted in many "Ah-Ha" moments and became abundantly clear that one's Mindset was the final piece to the Health, Fitness and Overall Contentment in Life’s Puzzle. Since then, I have applied this Three Pronged Approach of Training, Nutrition and Mental Performance, with everyone that I have been fortunate enough to work with.
In 2021, I made it through the initial selection process to serve under the 2nd Commando Regiment in the Australian Army, completing 12 Weeks of Recruit Training at Kapooka before accepting a Mental Performance and Mindset role at Impact Gym, bringing me back to the Central Coast and home to family.
My aim is to continue to expand upon my knowledge and experience, so that I may continue to deliver health and happiness promoting workshops to schools, teams and businesses alike.
Outside of my role as a Coach and Educator, I am a proud and grateful father to the most amazing son. Of all the many highlights I have been blessed to experience in my life, being a Dad is easily number one. I believe my son teaches me far more than any course I have ever completed and, most importantly, is a constant and loving reminder of what is truly important in life.
